Twilight
Contrary to what’s showing on my sidebar I’m now reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I really want to see the movie in the theater. I don’t want to wait for the DVD to come out in six months so I figured I better get busy.
This book is good, really good. Once again I find myself lost in a super good story by an author who I’m happily jealous of. Ms. Meyer’s writing voice is smooth as butter and even the sometimes long descriptions that would normally be summed up in a transition are so well written that I feel transported from my Lazyboy right into Forks.
Again this book is written in first person, which I’m coming to admire because it’s done right. For a young adult novel there is enough meat that makes us adult’s enjoy this story too. And if that wasn’t enough the description of Edward Cullen and his reaction to Bella had me turning the pages so fast I’m sure I left burn marks on them. But by ten o’clock my eyes were getting tired and sleep was calling my name so I regretfully dog-eared the page and put Forks, Edward, and Bella to bed. I just may slip Twilight in my purse and sneak away for lunch today. I just need to make sure I come back.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I just couldn’t. But then, I’m not a vampire fan.
