A Little Change…Big Difference
I’ve noticed something rather pleasant and surprising. Last month I decided to turn off the dry cycle on my dishwasher. This is because I wash a lot of plastic cups and containers. Inevitably during every wash, one would commit suicide by falling on the heating coil. That made the house smell lovely. But since I switched things up I no longer have said suicide jumper and my electric bill was $15 less. I really believe it’s a direct result of changing up the dishwasher because there’s nothing else I’m doing differently. The only down side is that I have to wipe off some of the items when I take them out. But who cares when I’m saving money. I just can’t believe a dishwasher uses so much energy. Other than that, I got nothing else this morning. Thankfully it’s been a pretty quiet week.

I think I’d be willing to fork up the additional 15 bucks a month to HAVE a dishwasher!!! I AM THE DISHWASHER!! Just no place to put one in these old houses without ripping out cabinets and replacing counters…
